Electrical Designer

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our growing team. This individual will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to develop electrical system designs for a variety of building types. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in a dynamic consulting environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems

• Prepare construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD

• Perform load calculations, short circuit, and voltage drop calculations

• Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and architectural teams

• Assist with specifications, reports, and construction administration tasks

• Conduct site visits and field investigations as needed

• Support senior engineers and project managers throughout project lifecycle

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology

• 2–6 years of experience in MEP consulting engineering (preferred)

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

• Familiarity with NEC and applicable building codes

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• EIT certification or on track to obtain (preferred)
